About Melissa Berkebile, owner of EmKay Consulting, has been in the Information Technology consulting world for over 15 years. Graduating from Bucknell University, with a Bachelors of Science in Engineering, she started her career at Accenture, formally Andersen Consulting, at their world headquarters in Chicago.  A couple of years into her career, she was recruited to work at Technology Services Group, a (then) small start-up consulting company, also based in downtown Chicago.  TSG, a company still thriving today, focuses on application development , specifically delivering document and content management solutions.  Melissa enjoyed a great career at TSG, working as both a technical architect and project manager for the company, and eventually was promoted to part-owner.  In 2001, Melissa and her husband, Tom, made the decision to move from Chicago back to their hometown, Pittsburgh to start a family.  After taking some time off with her first daughter, Emily, Melissa went back into the work world with a small IT solutions provider based in the North Hills.

Melissa, with her daughters, Emily and Kayla A couple of years after her second child, Kayla, arrived, Melissa decided she wanted to create an even better work/life balance for herself and EmKay Consulting was born.   Melissa was featured in the June 2009 article of "Pittsburgh Parent" magazine entitled, Mompreneur.  She enjoys both of her jobs immensely - helping clients use technology effectively, and most importantly, taking care of her wonderful family.
